How you dispose of garbage? : Toys

Ｉ have two childeren. As they  grow up, their toys mount in my house.  Ｉ　have to through up occasionally. But of course you have to segregate them to adequate trash selection. Here are two examples. I would appreciate you referring to this.








Plastic toys
Toy which are totally made of plastic are categorized to "Garbage to burn" or "Normal Garbage"(Only in Maki Area)
Do not  misunderstand, they are not "Plastic Container" Garbage.

Radio control car
This is also made of plastic but also has metal parts like aerial and inner substrate. So you have treat it "Not to burn Garbage".

Also, batteries. you pick them out and throw out as specific five items.

Earthquake Drill

City government of Niigata hold earthquake drills in 16th June on which day 50 years ago huge earthquake called "Niigata Jishin" hit the city. As the dill, at 13:02, occurrence of earthquake will be broadcasted on the radio FM Niigata and FM Niitsu. Also information distributing test, tsunami warning  caused by the earthquake and evacuation directive occurred in Akiha ward and Nishikan ward are announced on various media below.

Signs:Heights

The board says a height above sea level. With the boards You learn how you run away from disasters like floods just in case. They are set to signals and power poles at main intersections of trunk routes.

Spring Storm Coming

　Niigata Local Meteological Obsevatory warns the storm wind may come to all over Niigata pref. from 6th Saturday night to 8th Monday.
 A low pressure system will approach from East China sea to Japan sea on 6th night and moving towards north developing to bring heavy wind to Niigata on 7th and 8th.

 Also it warns snowslip and snow melt flood in the river due to temperature increase on 6th and 7th( it will get to over 20 degrees on 6th in many part of Niigata pref.)


 Please be careful going out this weekend.

Local Governments Warn Hear Stroke

Japan's hot and humid summer will come soon. That of Niigata is the same.
Some times, It may get over 35 C.
So You have to take care about heat stroke, which can lead to death.
Now Niigata Pref. government opened the web site about daily hotness index to inform you risk of heat stroke on the day.
Despite the site is written in Japanese, the dangerousness is represented by levels and colours. So you can recognize it easily.
